Scholarship in Teaching

The University has established the Scholarship in Teaching Fund to support and enhance learning and teaching. The scholarship of teaching is the systematic and rigorous reflection on university learning and teaching by academic staff. It includes the development and evaluation of new approaches to teaching, critical discourse about learning and teaching, and analyses of professional and institutional cultures and frameworks as they bear on learning and teaching. The scholarship of teaching is relevant to all disciplines and professional fields within the University.

Applications are invited for a second round of funding from the Scholarship in Teaching Funds

Applications must be submitted electronically to the Executive Director, LTS (mtulloch@csu.edu.au) by Monday 30 November 2009.

Applications are sought of Scholarship in Teaching Funds of up to $10,000 per project to undertake scholarly projects related to university learning and teaching. Below are the full guidelines, the rating criteria and examples of successful past applications.

Advice on applications can be obtained from Sub-Deans Learning and Teaching in each Faculty or the Executive Director, LTS.

This page - Scholarship in Teaching Funded Projects 2009, 2008, & 2007 - lists the title, investigators and summary of all successfully funded projects for the last three years.

At the completion of each project, a paper reporting outcomes etc is produced and forwarded to the Learning & Teaching Committee. Several examples can be found here on this page: Final Reports
