Assignment Services
The handling of all assignments submitted by Distance Education students are handled by our Assignment Services Team. Assignments may be submitted by mail, dropped off on campus or electronically through EASTS. Assignment Services ensures that these are printed, tracked, collated, sent to markers and returned to students via Australia Post.
Information for Academics
Academic staff can view assignments which are submitted via EASTS through the EASTS for academics web page. You can find instructions on how this can be done in the link below.
EASTS for Academics Instructions
For ease of processing, assignments being returned to students should be presented in a certain way.
- It should be clear on the coversheet that the assignment has been marked, an initial in the marker’s signature box at the bottom right hand corner of the coversheet will achieve this.
- It is essential to ensure that assignments are not pinned or clipped together. When this happens there is a possibility that one student will receive two assignments.
- If you need to attach a marking sheet to assignments, please make sure that it does not cover the students address on the coversheet. This slows the mailing process.
- If you need to return an assignment that does not have a coversheet, please ensure that all details are recorded on the assignment, so that we are able to record its dispatch.
- If you receive assignments that do not belong to you, please return them to the assignment section on your campus with a note attached explaining that they were misdirected. We will then direct them appropriately.
- Please notify the assignment section if assignments are to be returned to students directly, ie at the residential school. Please let us know the subject, student numbers, assignment number and the date on which it was returned so that we can record it on the system.
