Brief Biography
Before joining CSU in 1991 Chris taught at the Universities of Melbourne, Canberra and New England and worked as a senior analyst in the Commonwealth Treasury and the oil industry. He is a member of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (Finsia). His research interests are in the fields of capital structure theory, technical analysis, corporate disclosure, financial mathematics, corporate responsibility, superannuation and accounting for income tax.
Chris’s publications include articles in Financial Planning, JASSA and the online Journal of Financial Reporting, Regulation & Governance, three papers in CSU’s Faculty of Business Working Paper Series, chapters in a number of books and a test-bank for Introducing corporate finance by Beale & Goyen (Wiley, 2005). He is an occasional reviewer and technical editor of a number of textbooks and has presented papers at several international conferences, including the Australasian Finance and Banking Conferences, International Conferences in Finance of the Association Française de Finance, the 2005 conference of the UK Division of the European Business Ethics Network (Royal Holloway College, University of London), the third International Conference on Contemporary Business (2006, Leura, NSW) and the Eighth Annual Hawaii International Conference on Business (Honolulu 2008).
Chris is currently enrolled in a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) course at CSU for which his research topic is superannuation.
