Brief Biography
Jenny Kent is Sub Dean Learning and Teaching and Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance in the Faculty of Business at Charles Sturt University. She is the Founding Editor of the Australian Journal of Accounting Education. Her teaching encompasses a broad range of subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels for internal and distance education students. Jenny's research interests are primarily in public sector and not-for-profit accounting, rural issues and accounting education. Jenny is convenor of the annual Accounting Educators Forum jointly hosted by the CSU School of Commerce and CPA Australia NSW Division. Jenny has also been a member of a number of research teams which have successfully completed projects for the Department of Primary Industries and Energy; the Greater Murray Health Service; Woolworths Ltd; the NSW Premiers Dept. and the Dept. of Agriculture;DEST and the Rural Education Program of the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal; and ALTC.
She is currently Project Leader for an ALTC funded project which explores how quality teaching is valued and recognised in Business Faculties in Australia.
